Scholarship

All Phi Mu chapters have an Academic Excellence Chair; this position is dedicated to ensuring that all chapter members have the resources they need to excel in the classroom. We are proud that Lambda Iota’s Academic Excellence Chair, Chelsea, models the way for academic success as an East Carolina Maynard Scholar in the College of Education. More information on the Maynard Scholars program can be found at  http://www.ecu.edu/cs-educ/maynardscholars/.

Phi Mu Lambda Iota also is proud to be the first Panhellenic sorority at East Carolina to have a member who is part of the East Carolina (EC) Scholars Program, the most prestigious merit-based scholarship at the university. Only twenty students from each incoming class receive the EC Scholars award; recipients of this award are members of the ECU Honors College and receive over $60,000 to fund their education. For more information on the EC Scholars visit http://www.ecu.edu/cs-acad/ecscholars/

Lambda Iota also has many members who are part of ECU Honors College. As members of this highly competitive and invitation only experience, Honors College students are awarded renewable scholarships valued at the cost of in-state tuition for up to four years. Visit http://www.ecu.edu/cs-acad/honors/index-honors.cfm

Lambda Iota chapter members are rewarded for their academic successes in many ways, including receiving gift cards, jewelry, and even custom apparel.

Congratulations to our members who achieved Chancellor’s List, Dean’s List, and Honor Roll in the Fall. We look forward to a great Spring semester!
